I first got into true crime in college when I worked at the school newspaper and was assigned a story about a (then) 40-year-old murder that happened on campus. I thought for sure I would solve the crime (I didn’t), but it unlocked an interest in the stories and people involved in these real-life atrocities.

True Crime Obsession: The continually unfolding story around the Long Island Serial Killer, from corrupt police departments to the arrest and awaiting trial has been one of my biggest interests. I’ve read five books, listened to two podcasts and watched every possible TV show on it.

Favorite True Crime Series: Unbelievable was engaging without feeling exploitive.

Favorite True Crime Podcast: Serial season 1 began the obsession, but In The Dark really solidified it.
